Our Services

Chiropractors are manipulators of the spine! We can unlock any joint to correct the alignment and motion of spinal segments and change pain receptors. Chiropractors work with the muscles as well. We release tight muscles with soft tissue techniques and we wake up weak muscles with cupping or dry needling.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is a safe and low risk technique that all practitioners are highly trained in at Kee to Health. This technique is applied by using a sterile thin monofilament needle, which is single use only, to target dysfunctional muscles through trigger points. Dry needling is the most effective way to decrease pain, eliminate muscle imbalances, switch on under active muscles and disrupt muscle spasm. It also helps to promote blood flow and clear inflammation.

Adjustments

An adjustment or manipulation to the spine is a small quick force to a joint to allow it to gap. The gapping can have a sound. This sound is known as the “crack” sound and it comes from the synovial fluid within the joint. The manipulation or adjustment can allow for correct nervous flow to enable muscles to perform at their best and organs to work efficiently. Adjustments of the upper and lower extremities are extremely important to allow for optimal movement where function is altered.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient Chinese technique, which was known as myofascial decompression because of its ability to heal the soft tissues of the body. This is the only decompression techniques in soft tissue. The technique is performed by placing cups over the muscle, with a suction pull from the cups it is said to increase blood flow to the area, loosen adhesions in the muscle, stimulate the nervous system and re-energize the connective tissue.

Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is a vital step within our treatment. Once we are in the corrective phase of treatment, specific exercises will be tailored to each individual. There is emphasis on the importance of this step as home based exercises and education of the body will allow for the reduction in re-injury and enhancing joint mobility and muscle tone.

Graston Techinque

Graston is a form of Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation. This technique soft tissue injuries and fascial adhesions.

We use special instruments to break down scar tissue, remove swelling from a joint, reduce inflammation, improve blood flow and restore range of movement.

Remedial Massage

Remedial massage is a therapeutic form of massage therapy aimed to address injuries and restore range of movement, correct muscle imbalances and reducing muscle tension. This can be done through a range of techniques such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy and fascial releases.
